This collection represents a significant milestone in the School of Languages at XJTLU, showcasing the dedication of our colleagues who are at the front line of integrating cutting-edge AI technology into our daily teaching practices.
Since its establishment, the School of Languages has been striving to foster an environment where our language lecturers are encouraged to explore and experiment with innovative practices. Our in-house magazine, the Ready to TELL magazine, serves as a vital platform to share their insights and practical applications of technology in the classroom. This special AI issue, in particular, is a testament to the efforts of colleagues who have embraced the potential of AI tools. Each article in this collection provides detailed descriptions of AI-based teaching activities. We’re also very proud to present the AI Prompts Bank series, which showcases how carefully designed and tested prompts can assist language teachers in designing various learning activities.
As we look to the future, we recognize that AI technology is constantly evolving. The Ready to TELL platform aims to keep language teachers, both within XJTLU and beyond, informed of the latest advancements and best practices in AI integration. Our goal is to introduce and provide practical use cases and toolkits that busy teachers can readily implement in these articles with minimal adjustments.
